Label TextTEN-INCH RUBY PLATED AND CUT COMPORT Probably the New England Glass Co. Cambridge, Massachusetts Ca. 1850-1860 Blown cased glass; cut Bequest: Kate Tyler Smith Collection 52.18.43 This comport, plated (cased) and cut in the internationally popular Bohemian style, is documented by descent in the family of Kate Tyler Smith, whose uncle was New England Glass Co. employee Thomas H. Leighton.
