Label TextVase American, ca. 1920 Stoneware Decorated by Hester W. Pillsbury for Weller Pottery, Zanesville, Ohio. This is one of the few pieces of Weller pottery that appears to embrace the Art Deco style. By the time this was made, the pottery was concentrating on commercial lines but this seems to be a unique piece by Pillsbury, a decorator who got her start at Roseville Pottery. Gift of Walter P.
