To bring a similar spirit of playfulness and grace to Rohallion, the New Jersey estate of a prominent financier, Frederick MacMonnies designed this youthful deity as the life-size centerpiece of a garden fountain. The sculpture delighted his client, who ordered many smaller casts, such as this 30-inch version, as gifts for friends.
