DescriptionLarge fragment of a wool hunting carpet having a design of various sized palmettes and delicate tendrils bearing small flowers & Chinese cloud-bands in various colors on a deep red-rose ground. Amid the flowers are wild animals in pursuit of game, including lions and leopards attacking an antelope. Knotted wool. Many good portions of the original carpet assembled. Dozens of darned areas.
