DescriptionRoyal Flemish ewer. Decorative oval shape with a 3.25" high straight neck cut down on the handle side. Attached solid diagonally ribbed (rope) gilt washed handle. Clear frosted with thick gilt segments enameled with gilt inside each with a different type of overall scroll, floral or cobwebby type design. Against a gold wash background. Center of body has a thick gilt lion and a black seal with a gilt two-headed griphon. On the other side is a large circular patch dotted with black and in its center is a thick gilt bud.
