DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This photograph shows the trench of a Civil War military behind a stone wall. There are dead men lying in the trench, which starts in the front left corner of the picture and extends back to the center, there is also debris scattered on the ground and abandoned rifles in the trench and propped against the stone wall. Over to the right, the backside of the trench leads up to a small hill and trees. In the center background a small house or building is present.
