DescriptionThis is a Worcester "Fine Old Japan Sprig" pattern teabowl (A) and saucer (B). The saucer has a gilt-heightened rose, iron-red, black, and green peony sprig within an iron red double line surrounded by five black and iron-red starburst motifs issuing trailing loops beneath the cafe-au-lait edged rim. The teabowl has a gilt-heightened rose, iron-red, black, and green peony sprig on the front and reverse above an iron red double line alternating with five black and iron-red starburst motifs issuing trailing loops beneath the cafe-au-lait edged rim.
