"Distances to towns & areas from Williamsburg/Fredericksburg & Alexanderia/The distances with the course of the Roads on th Map I carefully collected on the Spot and entered them in my Journal from whence they are now incerted, J. Dalrymple London Jan.ye 1st 1755". "21" in upper right back corner of top and "22" in upper right corner of bottom. Top sheet watermarked "WF" twice and a cartouche with a fleur de lis/over a "GR" twice (once upsidedown). Bottom sheet has same watermark but both cartouches are right side up.

DescriptionTwo-part map of the Virginia area. Bottom edge left section of top torn. Otherwise, good condition though a portion of the paper is darkened. There is an engraving of a planter on docks being served wine,-tobacco barrel open with inscription inside. Va. NC line survey 1728 and finished 1749.
