DescriptionThis a small drawstring cotton bag that was a souvenir of the Jamestown Exposition 1607-1907, Norfolk, VA, 1907. It is stamped on the face, in red and blue lettering: "Souvenir of Jamestown Exposition/1607-1907"; an eagle is depicted with wings outspread and holding a banner in its mouth; on the banner is "Gail Borden/Eagle Brand"; beneath the eagle's feet is "50th Anniversary/of/Borden's Condensed Milk Co./Originators of Condensed Milk/Est. 1857 N.Y.". On the reverse: "Bordens, Leaders of Quality/Eagle Brand Condensed Milk, Peerless Brand Evaporated Milk (Unsweetened), Bordens Malted Milk".
