InscribedOne the hashiya is the following in Persian: "Muhammad Farrukh - Siyar Padishah Gazi - This is a war elephant of Emperor Akbar Shah period and was drawn by Ahmad Quli of Delhi, cost 300 Rupee of the reign Farrukh Shah." It bears also the seal of the Emperor's librarian.
