DescriptionVase. Cameo. Slightly oval body. Urn shaped from a round base and round short neck. Collared rim. Chrysanthemum design of amethyst over clear bottom third and amber over the clear top third. Central front blossom has an additional deep amethyst patch and "jewel" center over a silver patch inside. Back blossom has a red-amber patch and jeweled center.Label TextVASE Christallerie d'Emile Galle, Nancy, France Ca. 1895 Blown cased glass, silver foil inclusions applied cabochon; cut, engraved. Mark: in relief, entwined with stem on reverse Galle on bottom ges. Gesch and Depose also on bottom a paper label of Gilman, Collamore & Co., a New York retailer. Gift of Walter P.
