DescriptionThis cylindrical and centrally waisted vase is made of blown, cameo glass, and is opaque blue-green in color, with a columbine design. There are internal patches of metallic flecks and a martelé background. This is probably the vase in the much-illustrated painting of Gallé by Prouvé.Label TextÉmile Gallé French (1846-1904) Columbine Vase, 1892 Blown and cameo glass Chrysler Museum of Art, Norfolk, VA Gift of Walter P.
