DescriptionAn etching, depicting the north bank of Tarrant's Creek, Norfolk, VA, from end of West Olney Road. At the time this plate was made there was a settlement of shacks (made of odds and ends) just back of the shanty boats. Some of these dwellings had makeshift fences and an actual attempt at beautification. The residents, of the south bank of the creek, who had permanent homes called the north bank "Rascality Hill". This print was made in 1946 for the Museum's collection of Norfolk and Tidewater Virginia history from the original plate, by the artist.No Date
