S. Senator, Secretary of the Treasury under Lincoln, and Chief Justice, 1864-1873; Robert Cooper Grier (1794-1870), Associate Justice; Noah Haynes Swayne (1804-1884), Associate Justice; David Davis, Associate Justice from 1862-1877.
