It was also reproduced on the cover of the catalogue published to accompany the exhibition. Light Images began in 1977 as an annual outdoor show on the grounds of the Chrysler. In 1984, the show moved inside to the Museum's photography gallery and became a biennial juried exhibition, accompanied by the publication of a catalogue. The final Light Images took place in 1996.
