InscribedOld tag attached to flask, handwritten note reads: "Compliments of L.T. Hurd. opening of Naugatuck Rail Road". The Naugatuck is located south of Waterbury, CT. The railroad ran through Waterbury. It opened June 11, 1849.

DescriptionHistorical flask, pint sized, of blown molded olive-amber glass. Obverse and reverse depict a horse-drawn railroad car with the slogan "SUCCESS TO THE RAILROAD" in a horseshoe-shaped arch.
