DescriptionOne of a pair of T. Ketland flintlock pistols. Brass cannon barrel bore. Scroll surrounded by delicate floral designs engraved on one side of lockplate. Floral designs drum and standards engraved on other side of lockplate. Three marks stamped on under side of barrel; steel trigger guard. Handle has fine line silver thread inlay with stylized floral motifs all over it. The butt cover has a silver grotesque mask with a screw driven through the mouth of the mask which holds it in place. On the handle is a silver plate and thumb rest of shield-like armorial design with a helmet at top and suggestions of standards below.Exhibition HistoryMyers House/Consul Room
