DescriptionPressed colorless lead-formula glass; flaring bowl with 12 verticle "loops"; attached with wafer to a hollow hexagonal standard. Note: glass is very white, but has some bubbles, seeds, and black flecks.Published ReferencesThe 1859/60 Mckee & Brother catalogue illustrated a "10 in. Leaf Bowl" on a baluster standard rather different from the one on this object. Mckee listed six leaf pattern objects in that catalogue, but by 1871 listed only the 10 inch bowl, suggesting that this pattern enjoyed its greatest vogue in the 1850s but continued to be made as late as the early 1870s.
