DescriptionA photograph of a cast of the half dollar struck in memory of the Norfolk Land Grant of 1636. These sold for $4.50 when issued. The side photographed shows the City Mace, two dogwood blossoms, United States of America, E.Pluribus Unim, In God We Trust, Liberty, the monogram "W.M.S." and Half Dollar. The Norfolk Association of Commerce owns the original model of the half dollar made by William Marks Simpson, Norfolk born sculptor.Central Glass Co.
