DescriptionBowl or cup of light green glass. Probably many impurities, but there is so much decomposition it is hard to tell. Gives a crackle effect. Thick layer of iridescence removed. Cut with five rows of discs (facet cut?).

Chrysler, Jr. 71.6760 (GAnPe 66.8) During the Sassanian Dynasty (A.D. 226-642), Persian luxery glasses, decorated with wheel-cut facets, were widely distributed through trade to points as far east as Japan, where a bowl similar to this one was recovered from the tomb of the Emperor Ankan (d.
