DescriptionFigure of a seated man. Gentleman has downcast eyes, long wispy beard, long robe with ties at chest. He sits on gnarled stump or grotesque rock leaning on protruding piece with right elbow. Arms folded within robe sleeves at waist. Feet protrude from robe. Piece heavy, partially hollow, glaze creamy with light olive tone in crevices. Glaze rubbed on both shoulders and at two places on back of head.
