DescriptionThe subject of this portrait, Myer Myers (1793-1877), is shown in a torso portrait, facing the viewer. He engages the viewer directly, a smile playing on his lips. Thick curls surround his face and brush his forehead. Myer Myers is dressed in a heavy dark waistcoat with brass buttons, over a pleated white vest, silk shirt and cravat.
