DescriptionThis is a Worcester fluted waste bowl painted by the "Spotted Fruit Painter" in shades of rose, blue, yellow, purple, and green. Around the exterior are clusters of fruit and three sprigs of plums and leaves alternating with gilt scroll-edged hatchwork panels, all pendant from a border of gilt elongated C-scrolls edged with a bead-and-reel band. The center of the interior has a plum sprig. The scalloped rim is edged in gilding. There is wear to the center and some of the gilding.ProvenanceHenry Clay Hofheimer, II
