DescriptionThis is a cast bronze statue roughly 11 3/4 x 18 5/8 x 5 3/4 inches in size. It is signed and dated on the top of the base “Copyright 1903 by Chas. Schreyvogel.” The foundry name is inscribed on the rear side panel of the base “ROMAN BRONZE WORKS N-Y-.” The cast is numbered “No 75.” on the underside of the base. The statue depicts a United States cavalry officer who is traveling through the desert of the American West, exploring and surveying new territory.
