DescriptionThe printed field is rectangular, oriented vertically. The ink colors include dark blue, dark green, yellow-brown, dark red, and ivory. A dark blue background dominates most of the space, with a dark green area at the bottom of the print; this is suggestive of sky and ground with a horizon line. In the foreground, taking up the entire rectangular field, are three forms outlined in deep yellow-brown hues: at the left is a spherical form filled with two red spirals; below this sphere is a smaller (irregular) oblong form filled with three solid elements in ivory hue, the shapes of which recall fruits like pear, apple, and strawberry; to the right is a taller anthropomorphic form representing two legs and a torso. These forms are all constructed with crossed lines and look to indicate being made of sticks in a sort of cage or wickerwork technique.
