DescriptionThis is a color photograph that depicts a child in yellow clothing looking at an armed soldier, whose head is out of frame. It is an archival pigment print that measures 20 x 24 inches. It is signed on recto in ink and signed and dated on verso in pencil.
ProvenanceIn September 2020, Seth Feman, deputy director for art and interpretation and curator of photography, received a message from Matt Coote of Summit Art Advisory, LLC, about the possibility of receiving a donation of photographs. Coote shared a link to preview several options, which Feman reviewed with Director Erik Neil. Twenty-four works were selected, including these.
