DescriptionLate Federal looking glass, with reeded pilasters, terminated above and below with vasiform acanthus carvings. Pilasters support the cornice element, consisting of plinth blocks with applied compo acanthus carved bosses flanking a central flat tablet with applied carving of knotted laurel boughs. Cornice molding is pronounced quirk ovolo beneath a square-edged top. Note 1/3 remainder of old paper label on backboard with fragmented words "manufacturer," "seller," and "Holborn."
