DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This is a black and white photograph with railway tracks in the right side of the foreground. To the left is a mill. The building looks to be at least four stories high. The view is taken so that the front of the mill is facing the viewer and the entrance to the building is not seen. There are several other buildings in the background. To the right side, farther back, there are men standing on the opposite side of the railway mentioned as in the foreground. It appears to be in the process of building a railway bridge over water. This is from _Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the War_ (Hack Collection No. 2].
