DescriptionThe David L. Hack Civil War Photography Collection. This a black and white photograph of a large group of soldiers, many of which are standing and sitting on wooden planks and fences. Many of the men's rifles are posted into the ground, raised up into a pyramid formation. One man in the front center stands out as he is standing upright, hands on his hips, in profile perspective. In the distance there appears to be a railway car. The text below reads "41st N.Y. Infantry as well as Capt. Knipschild at Manassas."
