DescriptionRectangular well base has shapes of crossing timbers at corners, sides molded in low relief designs as follows. One of the two long sides depict a dragon with human-like rider facing snarling tiger painted with black stripes, swirling clouds; the other depicts a strange-looking horned dragon facing outward with black painted eyes and mouth; body is turned toward an animal that appears to be half phoenix, half dragon; swirling clouds. One of the two short sides depicts a phoenix-dragon animal looking toward his tail; the other shows a dancing (?) demon figure, traces violet pigment. All sides have traces of tan, red and black pigment and swirling clouds. Slabs are about 3/4" thick. Two narrow rectangular holes on top of short sides to fasten well head.
