DescriptionDepicts the story from the Bible in which King Solomon of Israel ruled between two women both claiming to be the mother. Solomon has ordered the baby be cut in two and the real mother is seen begging for the sword to be sheathed and the child committed to the care of her rival. ProvenanceWalter P.
