DescriptionCovered butter dish of pressed colorless non-lead glass. In a pattern identified as "Banner Butter" in a Bryce Brothers catalog. The finial, lid and base of the dish are shield-shaped and the design is derived from the shield on the great seal of the United States. The blue field of the shield is represented by a daisy & button pattern, the red stripes by a geometric pattern, and the white stripes by a convex bar.
