DescriptionMap showing the state from the sea to Ohio and the Great Sandy Rivers. Longitude at top west of Philadelphia and west of London at bottom. Engraved on two pieces of joined handmade paper. Plate mark shows plainly and has rounded corners. This is no. 14 from WINTERBOTHAM'S AMERICAN ATLAS, "an historical, geographical, commercial and philosophical view of the American United States, and of the European settlements in America and the West Indies". Good, though irregularly water stained for about 3 inch at the bottom, margin is foxed, torn 3 1/8" up center fold from bottom where it is 1/8" wide and dwindles to nothing. Two pin holes, one at top of L in Hog L. and other in E of George in Prince George County. Somewhat more foxed on the back than the front. Stained thru the center where the map was inserted in book. Edge a little mussed, torn about 2" up from bottom on right side. North Western Territory and Pennsylvania foxed in semicircular complimentary design.
