DescriptionSugar bowl of pressed colorless lead formula glass. In a rounded oblong shape. Design probably based on an Empire silver or ceramic model. Rests on four lion paw feet connected by an ogee-curve skirt. Bowl has a rounded belly. Recessed panel on long side has pattern imitating cut glass surrounded by a reeded border of bell flowers & roses. Bold gadroon at each corner above paw foot. Ends have a fan with a diamond & scrolls above and shell handles above that. Rim has a recessed edge to take lid and a beaded border. Underfill on one handle. Small chips on rim at top, on skirt between feet, on borders of both recessed panels, and across one handle. No lid.
