DescriptionThis is a small oil on board painting. It is a landscape: the sky is the upper three-fifths, and blue-gray water makes up the lower two-fifths of the painting. In the center is an impressive building; the land it stands upon seems to be surrounded by water on three sides because it appears a boat is coming in behind the house on land. In the foreground there are two boats one on each side, but are only half visible as if they are either on their way in or out of the picture.
