DescriptionTinted lithograph. Scene shows the Northern Infantry at left charge Confederate artillery and infantry at right. Two American flags and three mounted officers accompany the northern troops and a fourth officer lies dead by a cannon, his bleeding headpillowed in his dead white horse's neck. The Confederates have one officer on horse back and one flag. Ground in foreground is brown and green, the American flag blue and pink, the foremost men in blue uniform (some with pink gaiters), the remainder on both sides in a haze of pink smoke, sky is blue and pink.
