DescriptionThis is an oil on canvas painting of a seated woman. She wears an elaborate black hat with decorations attached around the rim, a purple shirt under a luxurious fur jacket, left open, and brown gloves. She appears also to be wearing a vertically striped black and white blazer - could also be the interior of the jacket. Smiling slightly at the viewer, her left hand holds a bouquet of purple flowers. The wallpaper behind her uses green, yellow, orange and purple in a decorative pattern.
