DescriptionProfile portrait of a lady standing draped from head to foot in an outer garment of white flecked with scarlet flowers. The woman's feet are encased in red and gold morocco leather slippers. Her left hand clasps the outer garment more closely while the right is barely visible through the folds of the silk. Through the action of time the colors have beautifully mellowed to an old ivory tone. Mounted within two shades of gold flecked blue paper. From the Mughal School.Exhibition HistoryExhibited Norfolk Museum, Gallery "H", February 1958. Also exhibited in College of Wooster Museum, Wooster, Ohio, April 5-27, 1970.
