DescriptionBasket of blown glass. Tortoise shell (using yellow glass rather than the silver stain mentioned in the Francis Pohl process). Applied tortoise handle with a daisy-like button on each end. Flat rim folded under. Polished pontil. Two flat lips of basket enamel and gilt floral sprays in pink, white, green, and blue. See GEE.69.4 for related enamel work on tortoise-shell.
