DescriptionBuddha sits in lotus position on coiled serpent which rises behind him spreading cobra hood with 7 heads over him. Buddha's hands are on his lap, palms up; he wears cone shaped earrings, elaborate necklace and arm bands, and carved headdress with cone top. Snakes have incised decoration in which some place pigment remains; small spots of yellow and red remain around hood, notable in one corner adjacent to headdress. Large wheel with floral radiants incised on back along with incised scale pattern.
