DescriptionManuscript probably from The Divan of Mir 'Ali Shi Nava'i, minister to Sultan Husayn Mirza. Calligraphy: Jaghati or Eastern Turkish. Horsemen shooting arrows at small ball at top of pole. (National pastime in Egypt time of Mamlouk, Sultan of Cairo). Surrounded by golden "hashiya" of Chinese clouds, birds, and flowers.
