DescriptionMahogany rectangular four-poster crib with serpentine canopy. The posts are turned with acorn finials supporting thin S-shaped laths forming a cross canopy above the crib. The laths are joined at the canopy peak to a turned hub with a small acorn pendant at its bottom and a larger acorn finial at the top. The sides and ends of the crib consist of thin turned balusters mortised into horizontal rails at top and bottom. One long side of the crib falls forward on hinges to permit access to the mattress.
