DescriptionBowl/vase of red carved cameo. Round. Bird and floral design in two large cartouches. Stylized leaf band at the shoulder and two rim bands of geometric design. Minor rim nicks.Exhibition HistoryLoaned to China Trade Museum, 5/4/83-9/29/83, for exhibition "Glass in China: Utilitarian & Decorative Wares of the 18th & 19th Century," their label reads: "A cloud collar border rims the piece, below are two shaped reserves-In one a phoenix on a peony tree branch & other holds two sparrow-like birds on a flowering prunnus-late 18th or early 19th C".
