DescriptionBlue Aurene (experimental) with eight vertical rows of irregular tooled "bosses" (or points) and one third from rim an applied blue aurene bird with wings half spread. Rough pontil. Mr. Kenneth Wilson, curator at Corning Museum, told during his visit here in the fall of 1970 that Corning has some of these birds as applied to this vase in the Carder Steuben Collection. There is a bird in the Rockwell Collection, Corning.
