DescriptionThis Whale Oil Lamp on Pressed Base is made of colorless lead formula glass. A blown urn shaped font is attached by a ringed wafer to a pressed hollow base consisting of a six flute columnar stem on ciruclar stepped base (resembling a beehive) on a square plinth with extended rounded corners and concave recesses at the center of each side; tin plated two wick whale oil burner with cork mount.ca. 1827-1830
