Inscribed"Martin Jos: Fleck verehret dieses 1713" on the reverse the following in white: "Fritch frolich und macher, veind die, fleitchhaker, Mo fie in fried bey fammer vien, Bey gutten bier oder mein, Da haben fie einen gutten muth, Damit dap glatz nicht feyren Ehut." Translation: "Jolly & merry are the butchers wherever they are together in peace with good beer & wine-Then they are in good spirits & see to it that the glass is never empty". Marked in red on bottom: "451/N".

DescriptionPass glass of glass slightly grayish tint with some impurities. Cylindrical with a slight kick on a pedestal foot with a folded under rim. Enameled white line divides it into five zones. Enameled in white, yellow, brown, green and blue with a coat of arms of the Butchers Guild. Framed by a wreath above and below inscription. Small crack above the foot. Rough pontil. Martin Joseph Fleck presents this glass in 1713.
