DescriptionMatch safe of pressed amber glass. Button & Daisy variant pattern, each consisting of a "button" and an alternating square each having five diamonds. Nail hole at top. Threaded half bucket bowl for matches. Lobed tray at bottom for burnt matches. Sides are scalloped. Formerly GAS.59.736.Published ReferencesR.W. Lee, VICTORIAN GLASS, fig. 19, pl. 104, closely related to this item by Bryce Bros., but with a different background pattern, per GEB 8/8/87.
