Label TextStanislav Libenský Czech (1921-2002) and Jaroslava Brychtová Czech (1924-2020) Cubus, 1967 Cast glass in five parts, cut and polished Museum Purchase. 94.7 The husband and wife team of Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová often use the internal voids to create form. The sphere that seems to be present at the center of this work is merely hollow space. Libenský and Brychtová showed glass, including a 13-foot-high glass pyramid in the Czechoslovakian display at Expo '67 in Montreal and amazed the visitors to the World's Fair, including Dale Chihuly.
