DescriptionThis is a large, square cast panel of yellow and colorless glass that is to be displayed vertically in a metal holder. The figure of an animal with two horns curving backward is cast negatively into the glass from the back so that transmitted light makes the image visible from the front; the style imitates prehistoric art in execution/imagery, inspired by the discovery of the Lascaux cave paintings.
ProvenanceGifted to the Andersons from Libenský by way of Heller Gallery NYC 01/01/2002
