DescriptionThis is an oil on panel painting depicting the view of Amsterdam along the Groenburgwal, the canal running from the River Amstel to the Raamgracht, near the old Jewish Quarter east of the city center. Visible in the left background is the spire of the famous Zuiderkerk, or South Church, completed in 1603 by architect Hendrik de Keyser.
